• Dignified, compassionate cremation services

At Walker’s Pet Cremation Services, we offer dignified and compassionate cremation services directly to bereaved pet owners. We are a family-run business based in Darfield, Barnsley, serving families throughout the South Yorkshire area. Our mission is to provide a bespoke, personal, and caring service that honors the bond you shared with your beloved pet. Dignity, compassion, and exceptional customer care are at the heart of everything we do.

We also offer home euthanasia in partnership with a number of trusted, compassionate veterinary professionals — vets we would trust with our own pets. Saying goodbye at home allows your beloved companion to pass peacefully in familiar surroundings, surrounded by love. If this is something you’re considering, we can help guide you through the process and connect you with a suitable vet in your area.

Families are welcome to bring their pet directly to us. We kindly ask that you call ahead so we can ensure we are available to greet you in person and guide you through every step of the process.

Alternatively, we can collect your pet from your veterinary surgery. You can leave instructions with your vet regarding your wishes, and we will work closely with them to carry out your family's requests with the utmost care.

For those who would prefer to keep their pet at home for a little longer, we also offer collection from your home. This allows your family time to say your goodbyes in the comfort and privacy of your own space. We also have a peaceful farewell room on-site, where you are welcome to spend time with your beloved pet before the cremation takes place — just give us a call beforehand so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Pet parents are welcome to attend their pet’s cremation if they wish. Ashes will then be returned in your chosen urn or keepsake. For those who prefer not to attend, we offer several options for returning your pet’s ashes — we can deliver them to your home (for a small fee), return them to your veterinary practice, or you are welcome to collect them from us in person.

We offer a wide selection of urns and caskets, which can be viewed on our online shop or discussed with us directly at your convenience.

We also provide memorial items that can be placed in your garden or home as a lasting tribute to your much-loved companion.

  • Cat Cremation

There are over 11 million cats in the UK and for many, cats are the most loving and affectionate of all domestic animals. Perhaps that’s why they’re the world's most popular pet with over 40 recognised breeds, but to us, every cat is unique in their own little way.

When we lose our beloved pet cat, it’s like losing a member of the family. Commemorating them is no different, and there are many ways to commemorate your cat’s life and friendship which we have outlined below.
